February 14: Chinese smartphone brand Coolpad has entered the Nepali market. The company amid a function held in the capital on February 13 launched its flagship Cool 1 smartphone to mark its foray in the local market.

Issuing a press statement, the company said that the newly launched handset is first phone in Nepal that comes with 13+13MP dual-rear camera setup and an eight MP front facing snapper. The rear dual cameras have features including f/2.0, dual-tone LED flash. As per the statement, one sensor handles colour while the other takes care of depth, details and brightness level. Similarly, the front camera comes with an f/2.0 and has 80 degree wide angle view. Powered by a 64-bit Octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 652 SoC processor, the phone has 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. Priced at Rs 30, 996, the Cool 1 is available in Gold color variant in the Nepali market.

The company has partnered with Jaima Intercontinental Pvt Ltd (JIPL) for the distribution of the handset in the country. James Du, CEO of Coolpad Global said that the company always seeks to introduce the best of technologies in the market.
