The app will facilitate a tax payer in achieving information on income tax, excise duty, dateline to submit details, fine and charges easily. The app which will be available for the smart phones with android based operation system of Google in the first phase will be available for the users of Apple's iphone with iOS operating system after sometime, as per the source. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><br />
The app synchronized with the website of the department has a separate gateway for tax payers and tax officers for their information quest. The PAN number holder tax payers will have to enter the portal by inserting their unique user ID and password. “The information uploaded in the website will automatically get uploaded in the app and it will be alerted to the user through a message,” the source informed.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><br />
Similarly, the department is launching the SMS service from Wednesday itself. In the first phase, the service will be available for the users of Nepal Telecom only. The SMS system is on push and pull based where the tax payer can ask (pull) for the information as per their need and tax executive can provide (pull) the information time to time. </p>
