Export-Import Bill Drafted

The Department of Commerce has drafted a new Export-Import Bill. Shankar Prasad Paudel, Director of the department, said the draft has been sent to parties concerned for feedback. The Act is incorporating the provisions of World Trade

Officials at the department claimed that endorsement of the Act would end the procedure to go to ministry for making trade related decisions. The department is updating the Act formulated in 1956, which is considered insufficient in the current trade situation.
