He cited targets such as producing 10,000 MW of electricity in 10 years, construction of cross-border transmission lines, electricity sector improvement program, establishment of National Transmission Grid Company, Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India, project development agreements with foreign developers as few positive steps taken for the development of the power sector.</p>
<p>According to Bisht, the Power Summit has been beneficial for the development of the power sector of Nepal. As per the analysis of IPPAN, there is a challenge of generating 10,000MW of electricity in next 10 years as the country has been generating only a minimal energy since a long period. He cited targets such as producing 10,000 MW of electricity in 10 years, construction of cross-border transmission lines, electricity sector improvement program, establishment of National Transmission Grid Company, Power Trade Agreement (PTA) with India, project development agreements with foreign developers as few positive steps taken for the development of the power sector.</p>
<p>According to Bisht, the Power Summit has been beneficial for the development of the power sector of Nepal. As per the analysis of IPPAN, there is a challenge of generating 10,000MW of electricity in next 10 years as the country has been generating only a minimal energy since a long period. "Thus, we have developed a slogan '10,000 MW by the Sunset', said Bisht. </p>
