The SGM also approved the provision of formulating federation chapters on seven provinces. With the amendment in the statute, improvement in the election system has also been made. Moreover, the structure of FNCCI will be developed as per the federal structure of the country and representation from the province has also been secured in the executive committee. According to FNCCI, the statute is amended in a bid to meet the federal structure of the country as provisioned in the new constitution. Along with the amendment, the earlier system of representative selected from zones and regions have been abolished.</p>

"The amended statue has increased the responsibilities and rights of districts level industry and commerce association," said Pashupati Murarka, President of FNCCI.
