August 30: Renault, a French multinational automobile brand has launched two models of four-wheelers in the Nepali market. The company amid a function in the capital unveiled Renault Kwid and Duster. With this, the company has entered the Nepali market. 

“Renault, being one of the fastest growing brands has plans to emerge into all SAARC countries. This inauguration is a key milestone in Renault’s growth strategy,” said Sumit Sawhney, CEO and Managing Director of Groupe Renault, Indian sub-continent operations.
According to Sawhney, The Kwid and Duster which are known for innovation and human adventure are best fit in the Nepali market due to its affordability, safety and efficiency. 


“It is an honor to be associated with one of the foremost automotive brands across the globe with a legacy of innovation and passion in thr global automotive industry ,” said Nikunj Agarwal, Managing Director of Advanced Automobiles which is the authorised distributor of Renault.  

Kwid is a compact hatchback which has been designed and developed by Renault’s global teams whereas Duster is a completely  innovative product. The SUV features 4x4 U capability, 1.5 TI engine, and unique electronic control system and ultra utility service.


The Renault Kwid has been priced at 1.6 million rupees while the Duster’s entry level carries a price tag of Rs 3.5 million in the domestic market. Renault is also showcasing the two four-wheelers in the 11th edition of NADA Auto Show 2016 which started from today.
