38 Institutions Nominated For CIP Award

July 22: The Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC) have nominated 38 business organisations and individuals to honor them with prestigious Commercially Important Person Award (CIP). The nominees for the award include importers, investors, employers, entrepreneurs and business organisations.  The press release issued by the TEPC says that two weeks of time has been given to the individuals and institutions to file complaints against the nominees.

This award is provided by the government to respect the contribution of commerce in the economy of the country.  The institution or trader awarded with this title will get an equal treatment as a VIP in airport, during visa process Singhdurbar entry and while meeting with Prime Minister or Minister. 

According to the press release issued by TEPC, the position is being conferred to companies of 17 different categories.  Hotel Hyatt has been nominated for its contribution on bringing maximum foreign currencies in Nepal, Yeti travels for contributing in bringing maximum  foreign tourists,  Ncell for being largest income tax paying company and Arihanta  Multi-Fibres (Sunsari ) for being largest employer. Similarly, other companies such as Fashion Crafts (Samakhusi) have been nominated for being women entrepreneurs exporting more products, United Tanaries (Sunsari) and New Isha Enterprises have been selected for exporting more products to China.  Likewise, other nominated institutions and traders include Everest Fashion (Kathmandu), Nirmal Store (Jhapa), The Shangri-la Carpet and Hanidcraft Industry, Pals Fashion Solution (Morang), Nature Net Pvt.Ltd, Triveni Pulses and Oil industry, Asian Leather Industries (Morang) etc. Dabur Nepal and Aarati Strips (Birtatnagar) have been selected for the award for exporting largest products to India.

In addition to it, the government has decided to honor the CIP awards to Presidents of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) and Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) in recognition of their contribution for the economic sector of the company.
