We have been investing with a target to produce 100 MW within the next five years,” says Roshan KC, Director of the Group. KC, who is also an engineer adds, “We will succeed to reach our target.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Group’s Chairman Surya Bahadur KC, 90 percent of the construction of the Sikles Hydro project has been completed. “We will start the commercial production by 2074 Poush.” The project which has been under construction for the last three years was affected by earthquake, blockade and landslide. The Group has invested over Rs 2 billion in the project.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the Group has also finalised the power purchase agreement (PPA) of the Upper Madi Hydropower Project. As per KC, Prime bank will finance the project having capacity of 7MW. “The construction work of the Rs 1.20 billion project will start from Ashwin, 2074.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the Group also plans to start the construction of Bijaypur-2 Hydroelectricity Project soon. “The construction works of the 4.5 MW project with investment totaling Rs 900 million will start by next Ashwin,” says KC.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile,the 36MW Jhyamulunga Hydropower Project is in the pipeline. “The construction of the project with the estimated investment of Rs 5 billion will start soon,” mentions KC.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewie, the Group is preparing to start the construction of 20MW Upper Seti Hydropower Project. The investment for the project is estimated at Rs 3 billion.</p>

Even after we produce the electricity, the producers face difficulties to connect it with national grid.” He mentions that the problems are due to the lack of coordination between Energy and Finance Ministry and CIAA. </p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">“With an objective to minimise the electricity shortage in the country, we are increasing investments in the sector. We have been investing with a target to produce 100 MW within the next five years,” says Roshan KC, Director of the Group. KC, who is also an engineer adds, “We will succeed to reach our target.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Group’s Chairman Surya Bahadur KC, 90 percent of the construction of the Sikles Hydro project has been completed. “We will start the commercial production by 2074 Poush.” The project which has been under construction for the last three years was affected by earthquake, blockade and landslide. The Group has invested over Rs 2 billion in the project.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the Group has also finalised the power purchase agreement (PPA) of the Upper Madi Hydropower Project. As per KC, Prime bank will finance the project having capacity of 7MW. “The construction work of the Rs 1.20 billion project will start from Ashwin, 2074.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the Group also plans to start the construction of Bijaypur-2 Hydroelectricity Project soon. “The construction works of the 4.5 MW project with investment totaling Rs 900 million will start by next Ashwin,” says KC.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile,the 36MW Jhyamulunga Hydropower Project is in the pipeline. “The construction of the project with the estimated investment of Rs 5 billion will start soon,” mentions KC.</p>

Aiming to produce 100MW electricity within the five years, the company is constructing various projects. Three projects constructed by the Group are already running while some are under construction and other are in the pipeline.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“With an objective to minimise the electricity shortage in the country, we are increasing investments in the sector. We have been investing with a target to produce 100 MW within the next five years,” says Roshan KC, Director of the Group. KC, who is also an engineer adds, “We will succeed to reach our target.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the Group’s Chairman Surya Bahadur KC, 90 percent of the construction of the Sikles Hydro project has been completed. “We will start the commercial production by 2074 Poush.” The project which has been under construction for the last three years was affected by earthquake, blockade and landslide. The Group has invested over Rs 2 billion in the project.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile, the Group has also finalised the power purchase agreement (PPA) of the Upper Madi Hydropower Project. As per KC, Prime bank will finance the project having capacity of 7MW. “The construction work of the Rs 1.20 billion project will start from Ashwin, 2074.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Similarly, the Group also plans to start the construction of Bijaypur-2 Hydroelectricity Project soon. “The construction works of the 4.5 MW project with investment totaling Rs 900 million will start by next Ashwin,” says KC.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Meanwhile,the 36MW Jhyamulunga Hydropower Project is in the pipeline. “The construction of the project with the estimated investment of Rs 5 billion will start soon,” mentions KC.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Likewie, the Group is preparing to start the construction of 20MW Upper Seti Hydropower Project. The investment for the project is estimated at Rs 3 billion.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Other hydropower projects like Gandaki, Traaks and Bijaypur Hydropower are also being constructed under the leadership of Chairman KC, who is also the Executive Chairman of Himshree Foods. “I have been investing for the development of hydropower sector in Nepal. “Though there are investors interested in investing in the sector, we don’t have a supportive environment for it,” he says. “We face lot of obstacles while trying to invest. Even after we produce the electricity, the producers face difficulties to connect it with national grid.” He mentions that the problems are due to the lack of coordination between Energy and Finance Ministry and CIAA. </p>
