May 29: Him Electronics, an authorized distributor of Samsung Electronics, has launched Samsung Galaxy J7 and J5 in its J series of smartphones on May 24.

The new Samsung smartphones come with the innovative Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode. “Developed in Samsung’s R and D centres in Asia, the UDS feature allows users to save up to 50 percent mobile data through compression technology and by restricting background data consumption from applications,” informs the company in a press statement.

According to the company, it has also launched an industry first S Bike Mode with J7 and J5. “With this feature, consumers can have tension free ride as urgent call alert system notifies callers that a person is riding and unavailable to take calls,” reads the statement, mentioning, “Callers can however have option to press one in case the call is urgent.” But, the rider has to come to a halt before they can answer the call.

Galaxy J5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 quad-core processor while Galaxy J& 2016 has an upgraded Exynos 1.6 GHz octa-core processor. Both the devices have 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM with an option to expand memory up to 128 GB with micro-SD card.

Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Galaxy J5 and J7 house outstanding battery capacity of 3100 mAh and 3300 mAh. “With Ultra Power Saving consumers have to never run out of the battery,” states the statement. J7 comes with 5.5 inch screen with Super AMOLED display while J5 has 5.2 inch screen with Super AMOLED screen.

Galaxy J5 and J7 come with impressive 13 Mp rear camera and 5 MP front camera. Both smart phones will be available in three color variants- gold, black and white. The Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 are priced Rs 24,490 and Rs 27,990 respectively.
