April 8: Mega Bank has finalised remit agreement with Yes Bank of India in a bid to provide easy remittance services to Nepalis working in India. Raveena Deshraj Shrestha, Chief Business Officer of Mega Bank and Arun Agrawal, Group President of Yes Bank and Ritesh Pai, Senior President of Yes Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

After the agreement, Nepalis working across various part of India can send money through remittance service of Yes Bank. “We believe that the agreement will facilitate businessmen trading with India as well as middle class families of rural Nepal,” says Raveena Deshraj Shrestha.

As per the agreement, Nepali workers can send remittance from 11,000 agents of Yes Money Services. The money can be received through any branches of Mega Bank or agents in Nepal. Mega Bank has 30 branch offices, 53 branchless banking services and 1,350 remit agents. Mega bank, with their slogan ‘Halo Dekhi Hydro Samma’, provides remit services in collaboration with banks and exchanges houses of different countries such as Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Malaysia, Japan and Australia.
