The timeline for distributing land compensation can be extended for those who were left in previous phases, the project sources said. <p>Compensation of Rs 2.50 billion has been so far distributed to 496 land owners in first, second and third phase, shared senior Supervisor at Pokhara international Airport Project Deepjyoti Rajbhandari. </p>
<p>Till date the land owners have received the compensation of 439.52 ropanis land. With this the compensation for 51 ropanis land is yet to be distributed and the process for the same has been intiated, Rajbhandari added. </p>
<p>The timeline for distributing land compensation can be extended for those who were left in previous phases, the project sources said. It is noted that the construction of the Pokhara International Airport has been eased with the expedition of land acquisition works and signing loan agreement with the China's EXIM Bank to that end. </p>
<p>Though 3,106 ropanis land was occupied for the construction of the international airport in Pokhara in 2032 BS it was not taken ahead citing several reasons. RSS</p>
