According to NOC spokesperson Mukund Ghimire, Indian Oil Corporation is still reluctant to load all the tankers sent by NOC.

According to NOC’s Director Dipak Baral, the daily demand of petrol and diesel across the country stands at 1500 kiloliters and 3000 kiloliters respectively. But the demand has recently gone up due to a prolonged scarcity. In order to bring the daily demand back to normal, it is necessary to send daily 10 thousand liters of petrol and 8 thousand liters of diesel to the market in the valley alone for consecutive ten days. But the corporation hasn’t been able to reach the target as IOC has continued its reluctance to supply fuel in a full-fledged manner.

NOC’s spokesperson Ghimire said, “IOC hasn’t been loading our tankers as per our demand. It’s even been refraining from providing any clear reason for that.” He said the problem has occurred since IOC has recently been providing only 70% of the actual demand. As the embargo with regard to fuel continues, NOC’s Director General Gopal Bahadur Khadka headed to India on Wednesday to hold meeting with IOC’s officials in this regard.

IOC hasn’t completely eased the supply LPG bullets as well. It’s been only providing 40 to 42 bullets daily, while a normal day’s requirement is 65 bullets.

It’s been learnt that, despite the Indian government assurance reported through media to provide fuel as per Nepal’s demand through, it hasn’t done so.

IOC still reluctant to supply fuel: NOC Spokesperson
1 min 30 sec to read
February 23 : While the supply of petroleum products is improving, Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has indicated that complete normalcy will still take some time.

According to NOC’s Director Dipak Baral, the daily demand of petrol and diesel across the country stands at 1500 kiloliters and 3000 kiloliters respectively.
