Necessary reforms must also be carried out in the airport facilities.</p>
<p>Aviation Director General Sanjiv Gautam and Airlines Operators' Association first Vice Chair Pabitra Kumar Karki said serving the passengers was their first priority even during adverse times facing the aviation sector due to the earthquake and ongoing border obstructions.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Nepal has recently signed a bilateral aviation agreement with New Zealand and Vietnam for operating air flights. With this, the number of countries that Nepal has bilateral aviation agreement has reached 38. Presently, 26 airlines companies including two domestic airlines are operating international flights to 23 destinations of 13 countries from Tribhuvan International Airport. RSS</p>

<p>The passengers occupancy in domestic flights in the first ten months of this year dropped by 4.15 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year.</p>
<p>Information about this was shared at a programme organised by Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, marking its 17th anniversary here Thursday. On the occasion, Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya called on employees of aviation sector to be serious towards providing services of international standard to passengers. Necessary reforms must also be carried out in the airport facilities.</p>
<p>Aviation Director General Sanjiv Gautam and Airlines Operators' Association first Vice Chair Pabitra Kumar Karki said serving the passengers was their first priority even during adverse times facing the aviation sector due to the earthquake and ongoing border obstructions.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Nepal has recently signed a bilateral aviation agreement with New Zealand and Vietnam for operating air flights. With this, the number of countries that Nepal has bilateral aviation agreement has reached 38. Presently, 26 airlines companies including two domestic airlines are operating international flights to 23 destinations of 13 countries from Tribhuvan International Airport. RSS</p>
