The airliners decided to fly light after Nepal Oil Corporation said it would not be able to provide refueling facility in Kathmandu due to the ongoing fuel crisis. The aircraft coming to Kathmandu carry a heavy fuel load so that they can fly back without refueling.

<p>The airliners decided to fly light after Nepal Oil Corporation said it would not be able to provide refueling facility in Kathmandu due to the ongoing fuel crisis. The aircraft coming to Kathmandu carry a heavy fuel load so that they can fly back without refueling.</p>
<p>As a result, passengers arriving in Nepal are having to wait for a few days to receive their hold luggage. “I have not received by my luggage since I landed in Nepal four days ago,” says one of the passengers from Malaysia.</p>
<p>Currently, there are 28 international airliners flying from TIA. With no end to the fuel crisis in sight, China Southern has already halted its operation in Nepal.</p>
