Better off citizens should be aware of the social pressures unconsciously exerted upon others and be careful to celebrate responsibly. Excessive use of alcohol may create tension among neighbours and it should be avoided. The security agencies and government’s quality control mechanisms also should be careful to safeguard the people’s right to consume healthy food. Dashain being a festival that symbolises the victory of truth over evil, may this season bring conscience in business practices and the government’s responsibility.</div>
