Big Three Reiterates Readiness to Address Dissident’s Demands
The major three political parties- UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (UML)- have vowed to address almost all demands raised by the dissident CPN-Maoist if latter agrees to go for the Constituent Assembly polls.

Speaking at a program in capital on Thursday organized by PAPAD, NC President Sushil Koirala urged the CPN-Maoist not to avoid the election. He claimed the current government was a result of political circumstances rather than the interest of the political parties.

Also in the program, UCPN (Maoist) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the election was needed to make the people sovereign. “CPN-Maoist should come to the election board and we are ready to change the structure of government, call Round Table Conference and increase the number of seats of proportional representation,” he said.

Likewise, UML Chairperson Jhalanath Khanal also underlined the need of dialogue to resolve the disputes.
