<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">The license of Kathmandu-based Yak and Yeti Hotel to operate casino was scrapped for defaulting royalties. Minister Ale warned of similar action in case others fail to pay royalties. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">"Now casinos have been in rush to pay royalties. So far, Rs 810 million in royalties have been collected. Some other casinos are preparing documents to clear the dues," said Khem Raj Joshi, officer at the Department of Tourism. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:Calibri,"sans-serif"">According to the Department, so far, 17 casinos including Golden Finger Gaming Zone have paid royalties. It has been learnt that arrears amounting to over Rs 1.11 billion are yet to be paid in royalties. -- RSS </span></span></p>
