<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Krishna Khadka, a project engineer, informed that the foundation stone of the first tower was laid on August 17. The project is expected to be completed within two years. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">After coming into operation, the transmission line is believed to bring relief to the people of Karnali who have been suffering from voltage fluctuation, Khadka said, adding that the contractor has already started the construction work and the project will be completed on time if there are no external obstructions. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The transmission line has been in operation in this region since 2045 BS. However, people in Karnali are excited about its capacity being extended to 132 kV. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">According to the project office, the 51 km transmission line will be of double circuit. The total length of the transmission line is 51.46 km with 26 angle towers. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:18px"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Likewise, the sub-station in Butwal is spread over 3.72 hectares of land. </span></span></p>
