<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Cambria"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri">The minister instructed NAC to submit a report for the purchase of domestic aircraft during a joint meeting with the executive chairman of the NAC Sushil Ghimire and the departmental heads of the ministry on Wednesday, September 8.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Cambria"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri">NAC currently has only two twin-engine aircraft in operation for domestic flights to the mountain region basically known as short takeoff and landing routes (STOL) while three of its Harbin Y 12 Chinese aircraft are running out of manpower. </span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Cambria"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri">Minister Bhattarai said that the corporation has been instructed to move ahead with the procurement plan immediately as it needs new aircraft to expand its domestic flights.</span></span></span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:12pt"><span style="font-family:Cambria"><span style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri">He also informed that the NAC officials have been instructed to prepare a detailed report for this by discussing with the Citizens Investment Trust, Provident Fund, and the Tourism Ministry and Finance Ministry.</span></span></span></span></p>
