Government sources said Koirala was transferred due to the controversy over the Upper Trishuli 3A capacity upgradation in which he was actively pushing for the project’s upgradation. A Cabinet meeting transferred Energy Secretary Hari Ram Koirala to the Vice President’s office. Government sources said Koirala was transferred due to the controversy over the Upper Trishuli 3A capacity upgradation in which he was actively pushing for the project’s upgradation. The cabinet meeting held on June 13 has decided to transfer seven secretaries and 10 DIGs of the Nepal Police. A Cabinet meeting transferred Energy Secretary Hari Ram Koirala to the Vice President’s office. Government sources said Koirala was transferred due to the controversy over the Upper Trishuli 3A capacity upgradation in which he was actively pushing for the project’s upgradation. Bishwa Prakash Pandit, secretary at the Water and Energy Commission, has replaced Koirala. <br />

Likewise, Commerce Secretary Lal Mani Joshi has been transferred to the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, while Ganesh Raj Joshi has been sent to the Forest Ministry from the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority. Krishna Chandra Paudel, secretary of the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation, has been shifted to the Water and Energy Commission. Regional Administrator of the Mid-Western Development Region, Sharad Prasad Trital, has been sent to the President’s office and Eastern Region Administrator Janardan Nepal to the Finance Ministry. The cabinet meeting also decided to create 3,243 new posts in the Armed Police Force to enhance border security. <br />
