<h1><span style="font-size:24pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Nepal had previously proposed India to fully construct the transmission line falling in its territory in addition to investing 50 percent amount for the transmission line on the Indian side, during the energy secretariat level meeting held between the countries. </span></span></span><span style="font-size:24pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">A meeting held between Minister for Energy of Nepal Barsha Maan Pun and Energy State Minister of India RK Singh on September 13, Thursday moved ahead with the discussions regarding the project. </span></span></span></h1>
<h1><span style="font-size:24pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">An official present at the meeting informed New Business Age that the agenda of the Butwal- Gorakhpur transmission line project will be proposed for endorsement during the upcoming energy secretariat level meeting between the two countries. </span></span></span></h1>
<h1><span style="font-size:24pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The official requesting anonymity informed that the ministry level meeting on Thursday made a primary agreement that the construction of the Butwal- Gorakhpur transmission line at the India side will be completed with a joint investment of Nepal and India. </span></span></span><span style="font-size:24pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">In the previous energy secretariat meeting, the Indian side had not agreed to Nepal's proposal.</span></span></span><span style="font-size:24pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The recent meeting also decided to conduct secretary-level meeting on October 13 and 14 in Bangalore. </span></span></span></h1>
<h1><span style="font-size:24pt"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Prabal Adhikari, spokesperson of Nepal Electricity Authority, informed that discussion on issues related to the construction of Butwal- Gorakhpur transmission line, energy banking, power trading were held during the meeting on Thursday. </span></span></span></h1>
