<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">The Melamchi Water Supply Project will be able to supply water within the deadline provided that there is no obstruction and the remaining works are carried out smoothly.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Secretary at the Ministry of Water Supply Madhav Belbase said that 94 percent of the project work has been completed. He claimed that the remaining works will be completed within 10 months.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">“The contractor left the project unfinished after completing 97 percent of the tunnel work,” he said, adding, “Overall, 94 percent work progress has been achieved so far.”</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif">Earlier, Minister for Water Supply Bina Magar had been repeatedly announcing the date of completion of the project. However, none of her claims could materialize. She has been widely criticized for this.</span></span></p>
