June 9: An unidentified group has detonated an improvised explosive device at a contact office of Upper Karnali Hydropower Project. According to police, an unidentified group exploded a pressure cooker bomb at the office in Bhairabsthan of Turmakhand Rural Municipality in Achham district at 4 am on Saturday.</p>

The project had set up its contact office in a rented house of one Deepak BC, a local of the rural municipality. The explosion has completely destroyed the house built of stones and mud. A motorcycle parked nearby was also destroyed in the explosion, according to DSP Janak Shahi, chief of the District Police Office, Achham.</p>

Police arrived at the incident site early in the morning and have been carrying out investigation. According to DSP Shahi, a team of 40 police personnel has been deployed to carry out the investigation.</p>
