June 4: Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) is all set to organise the third edition of Himalayan Travel Mart in Kathmandu from June 6 to 9 in collaboration with Nepal Chapter of Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and different stakeholders of the tourism sector.

According to the organisers, the four-day event will be organised at Soaltee Crowne Plaza with an objective to promote Nepal as the “Gateway to the Himalayas” and an adventurous destination.

 “Our priority and focus this year is to add value to all the stakeholders in terms of insightful conference, nation's tourism promotion, networking and mutually fruitful business opportunities between the registered sellers and hosted buyers,” the statement quoted Sunil Shakya, president of Nepal chapter of PATA, as saying .

About 700 delegates from 43 countries are taking part at the Third Himalayan Travel Mart including 140+ international and national guests and delegates.

The Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM) Conference being held on the theme “The Spirit of the Himalayas” will be a new way forward unveiling new programs, products and uncovering hidden treasures with new potentials for the Himalayan nations with Nepal at the helm of this promotional endeavor, the statement said.

The conference shall witness about 20+ world-class speakers, thought leaders, spiritual leaders, mystics, religious gurus, influencers and international tourism experts who will discuss and provide unparalleled insights on the various subjects including spiritual tourism,  adventure travel trends, responsible and sustainable tourism, digital transformation and new trends in tourism, and travel media trends.

According to the organisers, the Buyers and Sellers Meet this year will witness the participation of 58 buyer organizations from 30 different countries including the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and CIS countries, Asia and the Gulf region and 54 seller organizations or exhibitors from six different countries including Nepal, India, Bhutan, Pakistan, China and Thailand. 

“We believe that the B2B mart of HTM is a truly unique platform for our hosted buyers and registered sellers to explore, establish, strengthen or expand their business partnerships and networking opportunities,” Shakya added.
