The finance minister said that the salary of all civil servants including government staffers, security personnel as well as teachers has been increased.</p>

The increase in salary will be implemented from the starting of the upcoming fiscal year.</p>

The current salary of the chief secretary is Rs 55,200. With the increase in salary, the chief secretary will get Rs 65,136. Likewise, the salary of government secretaries will now be Rs 60,675 and that of the joint secretaries will be Rs 47,377. Under-secretaries and section officers will now on receive Rs 40,378 and Rs 35,990 respectively. Other non-gazetted officers will get between Rs 26,000 and Rs 28,000 while the salary of officer helper will be between Rs 19,000 and Rs 26,000</p>

May 30: The government has announced an increase in salary of civil servants for the upcoming fiscal year. While unveiling the budget on Wednesday, Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada said that the salary of government staffers will be increased by 18 to 20 percent.</p>

May 30: The government has announced an increase in salary of civil servants for the upcoming fiscal year. While unveiling the budget on Wednesday, Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada said that the salary of government staffers will be increased by 18 to 20 percent.</p>

According to the finance minister, the salary of non-gazetted officers will be increased by 20 percent while that of the gazetted officers will be hiked by 18 percent.</p>
<p>
The civil servants had been demanding a salary hike between 15 to 25 percent.</p>
<p>
The finance minister said that the salary of all civil servants including government staffers, security personnel as well as teachers has been increased.</p>
<p>
The increase in salary will be implemented from the starting of the upcoming fiscal year.</p>
<p>
The current salary of the chief secretary is Rs 55,200. With the increase in salary, the chief secretary will get Rs 65,136. Likewise, the salary of government secretaries will now be Rs 60,675 and that of the joint secretaries will be Rs 47,377. Under-secretaries and section officers will now on receive Rs 40,378 and Rs 35,990 respectively. Other non-gazetted officers will get between Rs 26,000 and Rs 28,000 while the salary of officer helper will be between Rs 19,000 and Rs 26,000</p>
