He claimed that the per capita income has increased this year due to the increase in economic activities. The finance minister further said that the rise in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has resulted in an increase in the saving capacity of the people.</p>

For the first time in many years, the internal savings of the country has crossed 20 percent mark of the total GDP, said Minister Khatiwada.</p>

May 27: Nepal is heading toward high economic growth, according to Finance Minister Yuva Raj Khatiwada. The finance minister said so on Monday while informing the federal parliament about the findings of the economic survey of the current fiscal year. Speaking at the parliament building, Minister Khatiwada said that the economic and social indicators as well as that of the physical infrastructure are quite encouraging in the current fiscal year.</p>
<p>
The finance minister reiterated that the current fiscal year will see an economic growth of 7 percent. He also informed the parliament that the per capita income in the current fiscal year is expected to reach Rs 117,000.</p>
<p>
He claimed that the per capita income has increased this year due to the increase in economic activities. The finance minister further said that the rise in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has resulted in an increase in the saving capacity of the people.</p>
<p>
For the first time in many years, the internal savings of the country has crossed 20 percent mark of the total GDP, said Minister Khatiwada.</p>
<p>
A stable government has created a favourable environment for investment, according to the finance minister. He also apprised the parliament that the regular supply of electricity and increased development activities at the local level have given positive message.</p>
