According to Joshi, the hangar at Pokhara Airport will have the capacity to accommodate Airbus 319 which can carry 160 passengers. After the construction is completed, the company plans to start international flights.</p>

May 15: Buddha Air has announced to build a hangar at Pokhara International Airport for parking and repairing aircraft. The airline company has forwarded the plan to build the hangar to support the operation of international flights from the airport.</p>

Buddha Air has been operating a hangar at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) since April 19, 2012. Yeti Airlines, Nepal Army and Nepal Airlines Corporation also have their own hangars at the TIA. Among them, Buddha Air’s hangar is the only proper hangar.</p>
<p>
Rupesh Joshi, marketing director of Buddha Air, informed New Business Age that the hangar at Pokhara International Airport will also be a proper hangar like the one at TIA. According to Joshi, the hangar at Pokhara Airport will have the capacity to accommodate Airbus 319 which can carry 160 passengers. After the construction is completed, the company plans to start international flights.</p>
<p>
“We are preparing to make the hangar accordingly. We have demanded for land with the concerned authority,” added Joshi.</p>
<p>
The company plans to bring an additional ATR-72 aircraft by the end of July as it is adding new routes to India’s Kolkota and Guwahati.</p>
