May 14: A new Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the much-awaited Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track has outlined a new route which is almost four kilometers shorter than the route proposed by the previous DPR.</p>
<p>
Initially, the expressway was supposed to be 76.2 kilometers but the recently prepared DPR has reduced the distance to 72.5 km.</p>
<p>
The Nepalese Army, which has been undertaking the fast track project, had assigned a Korean company to prepare the DPR some seven months ago.</p>
<p>
The Korean company handed over the new DPR to the army more than two months ago but it got the approval from the Ministry of Defense only last month, according to Nepalese Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.</p>
<p>
According to the new DPR, the fast track will have three tunnels and 87 bridges. The total length of the tunnels will be 6.41 kilometers. One tunnel each will be dug at Mahadev Danda of Makwanpur (3.35 km), Bhedre Khola (1.63 km) and Lane Danda (1.43 km), informed Brig Gen Pandey. The previous DPR had suggested that just one tunnel along the expressway way would be enough to complete the project.</p>

May 14: A new Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the much-awaited Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track has outlined a new route which is almost four kilometers shorter than the route proposed by the previous DPR.</p>
<p>
Initially, the expressway was supposed to be 76.2 kilometers but the recently prepared DPR has reduced the distance to 72.5 km.</p>
<p>
The Nepalese Army, which has been undertaking the fast track project, had assigned a Korean company to prepare the DPR some seven months ago.</p>
<p>
The Korean company handed over the new DPR to the army more than two months ago but it got the approval from the Ministry of Defense only last month, according to Nepalese Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.</p>
<p>
According to the new DPR, the fast track will have three tunnels and 87 bridges. The total length of the tunnels will be 6.41 kilometers. One tunnel each will be dug at Mahadev Danda of Makwanpur (3.35 km), Bhedre Khola (1.63 km) and Lane Danda (1.43 km), informed Brig Gen Pandey. The previous DPR had suggested that just one tunnel along the expressway way would be enough to complete the project.</p>

May 14: A new Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the much-awaited Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track has outlined a new route which is almost four kilometers shorter than the route proposed by the previous DPR.
Initially, the expressway was supposed to be 76.2 kilometers but the recently prepared DPR has reduced the distance to 72.5 km.
The Nepalese Army, which has been undertaking the fast track project, had assigned a Korean company to prepare the DPR some seven months ago.
The Korean company handed over the new DPR to the army more than two months ago but it got the approval from the Ministry of Defense only last month, according to Nepalese Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.
According to the new DPR, the fast track will have three tunnels and 87 bridges. The total length of the tunnels will be 6.41 kilometers. One tunnel each will be dug at Mahadev Danda of Makwanpur (3.35 km), Bhedre Khola (1.63 km) and Lane Danda (1.43 km), informed Brig Gen Pandey. The previous DPR had suggested that just one tunnel along the expressway way would be enough to complete the project.

May 14: A new Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the much-awaited Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track has outlined a new route which is almost four kilometers shorter than the route proposed by the previous DPR.</p>
<p>
Initially, the expressway was supposed to be 76.2 kilometers but the recently prepared DPR has reduced the distance to 72.5 km.</p>
<p>
The Nepalese Army, which has been undertaking the fast track project, had assigned a Korean company to prepare the DPR some seven months ago.</p>
<p>
The Korean company handed over the new DPR to the army more than two months ago but it got the approval from the Ministry of Defense only last month, according to Nepalese Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.</p>
<p>
According to the new DPR, the fast track will have three tunnels and 87 bridges. The total length of the tunnels will be 6.41 kilometers. One tunnel each will be dug at Mahadev Danda of Makwanpur (3.35 km), Bhedre Khola (1.63 km) and Lane Danda (1.43 km), informed Brig Gen Pandey. The previous DPR had suggested that just one tunnel along the expressway way would be enough to complete the project.</p>

May 14: A new Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the much-awaited Kathmandu-Tarai Fast Track has outlined a new route which is almost four kilometers shorter than the route proposed by the previous DPR.</p>
<p>
Initially, the expressway was supposed to be 76.2 kilometers but the recently prepared DPR has reduced the distance to 72.5 km.</p>
<p>
The Nepalese Army, which has been undertaking the fast track project, had assigned a Korean company to prepare the DPR some seven months ago.</p>
<p>
The Korean company handed over the new DPR to the army more than two months ago but it got the approval from the Ministry of Defense only last month, according to Nepalese Army Spokesperson Bigyan Dev Pandey.</p>
<p>
According to the new DPR, the fast track will have three tunnels and 87 bridges. The total length of the tunnels will be 6.41 kilometers. One tunnel each will be dug at Mahadev Danda of Makwanpur (3.35 km), Bhedre Khola (1.63 km) and Lane Danda (1.43 km), informed Brig Gen Pandey. The previous DPR had suggested that just one tunnel along the expressway way would be enough to complete the project.</p>
