April 26: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) acknowledged the fact that its technical staff including engineers have resigned en masse. Issuing a statement on Friday, the NRA said its attention has been seriously drawn to the reports published by various media outlets.</p>

The NRA has instructed all the engineers associated with it to resume their work arguing that their demands have been addressed by the government.</p>
<p>
The reconstruction body said that the council of ministers had decided to fulfill the demands of the technical staff regarding extra perks and pay effective from mid-August 2018.</p>
<p>
The NRA also said that it had notified the members of Nepal Engineers’ Association regarding the cabinet decision on Thursday morning (April 25). But after the meeting, the engineers tendered their resignation en masse, which the NRA considers insensitive towards the needs of the people affected by the mega earthquakes.</p>
<p>
“The National Reconstruction Authority instructs all the technical staff to resume their work of rebuilding the nation as their demands have already been addressed,” reads the statement.</p>
<p>
The NRA also warned of strict action if the engineers obstruct the mega campaign of reconstruction.</p>
