Speaking at the 19th general assembly of Western Regional Hotel Association, Pokhara, entrepreneurs said investors that the government needs to secure their investment as they have been pouring billions of rupees in this sector every year.
“Despite increasing investment, hotel occupancy rate has been declining. Also, banks have been increasing interest rates on lending, so the government’s intervention is required,” they said.
They also said it is necessary to upgrade the Prithivi Highway, Siddhartha Highway, Bhupi Serchan Highway, as there has been huge investments in the airports in Pokhara.

Speaking at the 19<sup>th</sup> general assembly of Western Regional Hotel Association, Pokhara, entrepreneurs said investors that the government needs to secure their investment as they have been pouring billions of rupees in this sector every year.</p>
<p>
“Despite increasing investment, hotel occupancy rate has been declining. Also, banks have been increasing interest rates on lending, so the government’s intervention is required,” they said.</p>
<p>
They also said it is necessary to upgrade the Prithivi Highway, Siddhartha Highway, Bhupi Serchan Highway, as there has been huge investments in the airports in Pokhara.</p>
<p>
Former president of the association Sundar Kumar Shrestha said it is the responsibility of the government to protect the investment in the hotel sector. </p>
