	The prime minister also suggested engineers to manufacture ships as per the depth and width of rivers in the region. Referring to the feasibility study for operation of ship conducted way back in 1970, the prime minister shared information that he had discussed the possibility of operation of ship and Kathmandu-Raxaul railway service during his India visit last year.</p>

	Prime Minister Oli said that a new dimension has been added to the &lsquo;connectivity&rsquo; with India, adding that we are now going to be linked with India through inland waterways and railways.</p>

	Also speaking at the function, Minster for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, said that operating a ship with Nepal&rsquo;s flag would be a matter of great pride for the country.</p>

	According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), there are only a handful of farmers in Nepal who have been cultivating roses for commercial use. The state-run news agency reported that there is a vast gap between the demand and production of roses in the market.</p>
<p>
	Nevertheless, a youth farmer in Chitwan made a lucrative income from the sale of roses in view of the Valentine&rsquo;s Day, reported RSS.</p>
<p>
	According to Prakash Pant, a local of Bharatpur Metropolis-18, Gunjanagar, the rose business gave him a net profit of Rs 300,000.</p>
<p>
	Pant said that the plants cultivated in the month of April/May yield production from November.</p>
<p>
	There is a demand for 20,000 rose sticks in Chitwan on the occasion of Valentine&rsquo;s Day, said Pant, who is also the chair of Chitwan chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal.</p>
<p>
	He has been supplying roses to major cities of Nepal, including Chitwan, Pokhara and Kathmandu.</p>

	Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the plant amid a function on Wednesday, February 13.</p>

	Addressing the inauguration program, PM Oli said, &ldquo;Nepal is a country where most of the people&rsquo;s source of income is livestock farming. The operation of Hester Biosciences in Nala will facilitate farmers in livestock production. This will contribute to the growth of economy, increase in household income and urbanization. With this plant in Nepal, there will be ample number of job creation and revenue generation as well.&rdquo;</p>

	Minister for Finance Yuba Raj Khatiwada praised this kind of venture which is export oriented.</p>

	&ldquo;We need to prioritize such type of industries. The multi dimension of Hester Biosciences to serve Nepal&rsquo;s market as well as the international market is praiseworthy,&rdquo; he said.</p>
<p>
	According to Rajiv Gandhi, CEO and Managing Director of Hester Biosciences Nepal, emerging animal diseases have been a threat which needs to be addressed.</p>
<p>
	He expressed the belief that the company&rsquo;s advanced technology and affordable price will help to reduce the problems faced by the farmers in livestock production.</p>
<p>
	Likewise, Shekhar Golchha, executive director of Golchha Organization said that the government should give high priority for the promotion of animal health care company in Nepal since the demand of livestock production has been increasing.</p>
<p>
	Hester claimed that it has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for products ranging from poultry vaccines to large animal vaccines. The facility has been built as per GMP standards and norms, with an annual capacity to manufacture 1.24 billion doses of live and inactivated vaccines.</p>
<p>
	Currently, the company said it has got 20 licensed vaccines and 27 vaccines are under licensing.</p>

	Holger Rothenbush, chief of the debt and infrastructure department of CDC Group, and the bank&rsquo;s CEO Sunil KC signed the agreement amid a function on Wednesday, February 13.</p>

	According to the bank, CDC Group will provide the loan for three years and will be returned in five installments.</p>
<p>
	Amidst the tight liquidity situation, the said fund shall help ease out the lending in sectors of sustainable growth including infrastructure, agriculture, micro-lending and foreign currency earning sectors such as tourism and hydro projects.</p>
<p>
	Speaking at the function, KC said, &ldquo;Nepal is poised to have robust growth in overall sector and CDC has decided to invest in the country in such a perfect time. This effort of ours will help ease the liquidity crunch and other long-term problems seen in the banking sector. This is our small effort to support the government&rsquo;s target of increasing per capita income and GDP in the coming decade.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
	Likewise, Rothenbush said, &ldquo;We are supporting the banking and other productive sectors and infrastructure development of the country. We are also looking forward to invest more than USD 120 million in the next couple of years.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
	The bank at present has around 12 percent investment in agriculture and seven percent investment in energy sectors. Prior to this, it had brought investment of USD 15 million from IFC and 10 million from UN-based Symbiotic. &nbsp;</p>

Speaking at the inauguration programme organised by the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport on Thursday (February 14), Prime Minister Oli said that the establishment of the office has opened the door for further study and exploration on developing inland waterways in the country.</p>

	Stating that Nepal is not a &ldquo;fully landlocked country&rdquo; as there is possibility of inland waterways in many rivers in the country, he expressed the belief that waterway transportation would come into operation earlier than the proposed railway service.</p>
<p>
	The prime minister also suggested engineers to manufacture ships as per the depth and width of rivers in the region. Referring to the feasibility study for operation of ship conducted way back in 1970, the prime minister shared information that he had discussed the possibility of operation of ship and Kathmandu-Raxaul railway service during his India visit last year.</p>
<p>
	Prime Minister Oli said that a new dimension has been added to the &lsquo;connectivity&rsquo; with India, adding that we are now going to be linked with India through inland waterways and railways.</p>
<p>
	Also speaking at the function, Minster for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, said that operating a ship with Nepal&rsquo;s flag would be a matter of great pride for the country.</p>
<p>
	Likewise, Secretary at the Ministry, Madhusudan Adhikari, said that the ministry is working actively to begin and expand the inland waterway and railway services while Joint-Secretary at the Ministry, Gopal Prasad Sigdel, said that inland waterway service would be cheaper than air and road service.</p>

	According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), there are only a handful of farmers in Nepal who have been cultivating roses for commercial use. The state-run news agency reported that there is a vast gap between the demand and production of roses in the market.</p>
<p>
	Nevertheless, a youth farmer in Chitwan made a lucrative income from the sale of roses in view of the Valentine&rsquo;s Day, reported RSS.</p>
<p>
	According to Prakash Pant, a local of Bharatpur Metropolis-18, Gunjanagar, the rose business gave him a net profit of Rs 300,000.</p>
<p>
	Pant said that the plants cultivated in the month of April/May yield production from November.</p>
<p>
	There is a demand for 20,000 rose sticks in Chitwan on the occasion of Valentine&rsquo;s Day, said Pant, who is also the chair of Chitwan chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal.</p>
<p>
	He has been supplying roses to major cities of Nepal, including Chitwan, Pokhara and Kathmandu.</p>

The operation of Hester Biosciences in Nala will facilitate farmers in livestock production. This will contribute to the growth of economy, increase in household income and urbanization. With this plant in Nepal, there will be ample number of job creation and revenue generation as well.&rdquo;</p>

	Minister for Finance Yuba Raj Khatiwada praised this kind of venture which is export oriented.</p>

	&ldquo;We need to prioritize such type of industries. The multi dimension of Hester Biosciences to serve Nepal&rsquo;s market as well as the international market is praiseworthy,&rdquo; he said.</p>
<p>
	According to Rajiv Gandhi, CEO and Managing Director of Hester Biosciences Nepal, emerging animal diseases have been a threat which needs to be addressed.</p>
<p>
	He expressed the belief that the company&rsquo;s advanced technology and affordable price will help to reduce the problems faced by the farmers in livestock production.</p>
<p>
	Likewise, Shekhar Golchha, executive director of Golchha Organization said that the government should give high priority for the promotion of animal health care company in Nepal since the demand of livestock production has been increasing.</p>
<p>
	Hester claimed that it has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for products ranging from poultry vaccines to large animal vaccines. The facility has been built as per GMP standards and norms, with an annual capacity to manufacture 1.24 billion doses of live and inactivated vaccines.</p>

	Currently, the company said it has got 20 licensed vaccines and 27 vaccines are under licensing.</p>

	Holger Rothenbush, chief of the debt and infrastructure department of CDC Group, and the bank&rsquo;s CEO Sunil KC signed the agreement amid a function on Wednesday, February 13.</p>

	According to the bank, CDC Group will provide the loan for three years and will be returned in five installments.</p>
<p>
	Amidst the tight liquidity situation, the said fund shall help ease out the lending in sectors of sustainable growth including infrastructure, agriculture, micro-lending and foreign currency earning sectors such as tourism and hydro projects.</p>
<p>
	Speaking at the function, KC said, &ldquo;Nepal is poised to have robust growth in overall sector and CDC has decided to invest in the country in such a perfect time. This effort of ours will help ease the liquidity crunch and other long-term problems seen in the banking sector. This is our small effort to support the government&rsquo;s target of increasing per capita income and GDP in the coming decade.&rdquo;</p>

	Likewise, Rothenbush said, &ldquo;We are supporting the banking and other productive sectors and infrastructure development of the country. We are also looking forward to invest more than USD 120 million in the next couple of years.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
	The bank at present has around 12 percent investment in agriculture and seven percent investment in energy sectors. Prior to this, it had brought investment of USD 15 million from IFC and 10 million from UN-based Symbiotic. &nbsp;</p>

	Nevertheless, a youth farmer in Chitwan made a lucrative income from the sale of roses in view of the Valentine&rsquo;s Day, reported RSS.</p>
<p>
	According to Prakash Pant, a local of Bharatpur Metropolis-18, Gunjanagar, the rose business gave him a net profit of Rs 300,000.</p>
<p>
	Pant said that the plants cultivated in the month of April/May yield production from November.</p>
<p>
	There is a demand for 20,000 rose sticks in Chitwan on the occasion of Valentine&rsquo;s Day, said Pant, who is also the chair of Chitwan chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal.</p>

	He has been supplying roses to major cities of Nepal, including Chitwan, Pokhara and Kathmandu.</p>

	February 14:&nbsp; NMB Bank has claimed to be the &ldquo;first bank in Nepal&rdquo; to secure foreign debt investment of USD 15 million from CDC Group, the UK government&rsquo;s development financing institution.</p>
<p>
	Holger Rothenbush, chief of the debt and infrastructure department of CDC Group, and the bank&rsquo;s CEO Sunil KC signed the agreement amid a function on Wednesday, February 13.</p>
<p>
	According to the bank, CDC Group will provide the loan for three years and will be returned in five installments.</p>
<p>
	Amidst the tight liquidity situation, the said fund shall help ease out the lending in sectors of sustainable growth including infrastructure, agriculture, micro-lending and foreign currency earning sectors such as tourism and hydro projects.</p>
<p>
	Speaking at the function, KC said, &ldquo;Nepal is poised to have robust growth in overall sector and CDC has decided to invest in the country in such a perfect time. This effort of ours will help ease the liquidity crunch and other long-term problems seen in the banking sector. This is our small effort to support the government&rsquo;s target of increasing per capita income and GDP in the coming decade.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
	Likewise, Rothenbush said, &ldquo;We are supporting the banking and other productive sectors and infrastructure development of the country. We are also looking forward to invest more than USD 120 million in the next couple of years.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
	The bank at present has around 12 percent investment in agriculture and seven percent investment in energy sectors. Prior to this, it had brought investment of USD 15 million from IFC and 10 million from UN-based Symbiotic. &nbsp;</p>

	Prime Minister Oli said that a new dimension has been added to the &lsquo;connectivity&rsquo; with India, adding that we are now going to be linked with India through inland waterways and railways.</p>

	Today the market made high of 1121.69 which was at the beginning of the day. NEPSE index starts decreasing gradually making a low of 1,112.20 and market closed at 1112.87 which is also the CMP. Today&#39;s market turnover is Rs. 216.65 corers which managed the highest due to trade of Everest Bank&rsquo;s promoter share of Rs. 191.76 corers keeping that constant market just made total turnover of Rs. 24.89 corers.</p>

	According to Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), there are only a handful of farmers in Nepal who have been cultivating roses for commercial use. The state-run news agency reported that there is a vast gap between the demand and production of roses in the market.</p>
<p>
	Nevertheless, a youth farmer in Chitwan made a lucrative income from the sale of roses in view of the Valentine&rsquo;s Day, reported RSS.</p>
<p>
	According to Prakash Pant, a local of Bharatpur Metropolis-18, Gunjanagar, the rose business gave him a net profit of Rs 300,000.</p>
<p>
	Pant said that the plants cultivated in the month of April/May yield production from November.</p>
<p>
	There is a demand for 20,000 rose sticks in Chitwan on the occasion of Valentine&rsquo;s Day, said Pant, who is also the chair of Chitwan chapter of Floriculture Association of Nepal.</p>
<p>
	He has been supplying roses to major cities of Nepal, including Chitwan, Pokhara and Kathmandu.</p>

	Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the plant amid a function on Wednesday, February 13.</p>

	Addressing the inauguration program, PM Oli said, &ldquo;Nepal is a country where most of the people&rsquo;s source of income is livestock farming. The operation of Hester Biosciences in Nala will facilitate farmers in livestock production. This will contribute to the growth of economy, increase in household income and urbanization. With this plant in Nepal, there will be ample number of job creation and revenue generation as well.&rdquo;</p>

	Minister for Finance Yuba Raj Khatiwada praised this kind of venture which is export oriented.</p>
<p>
	&ldquo;We need to prioritize such type of industries. The multi dimension of Hester Biosciences to serve Nepal&rsquo;s market as well as the international market is praiseworthy,&rdquo; he said.</p>
<p>
	According to Rajiv Gandhi, CEO and Managing Director of Hester Biosciences Nepal, emerging animal diseases have been a threat which needs to be addressed.</p>
<p>
	He expressed the belief that the company&rsquo;s advanced technology and affordable price will help to reduce the problems faced by the farmers in livestock production.</p>
<p>
	Likewise, Shekhar Golchha, executive director of Golchha Organization said that the government should give high priority for the promotion of animal health care company in Nepal since the demand of livestock production has been increasing.</p>
<p>
	Hester claimed that it has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for products ranging from poultry vaccines to large animal vaccines. The facility has been built as per GMP standards and norms, with an annual capacity to manufacture 1.24 billion doses of live and inactivated vaccines.</p>
<p>
	Currently, the company said it has got 20 licensed vaccines and 27 vaccines are under licensing.</p>

	Holger Rothenbush, chief of the debt and infrastructure department of CDC Group, and the bank&rsquo;s CEO Sunil KC signed the agreement amid a function on Wednesday, February 13.</p>
<p>
	According to the bank, CDC Group will provide the loan for three years and will be returned in five installments.</p>
<p>
	Amidst the tight liquidity situation, the said fund shall help ease out the lending in sectors of sustainable growth including infrastructure, agriculture, micro-lending and foreign currency earning sectors such as tourism and hydro projects.</p>
<p>
	Speaking at the function, KC said, &ldquo;Nepal is poised to have robust growth in overall sector and CDC has decided to invest in the country in such a perfect time. This effort of ours will help ease the liquidity crunch and other long-term problems seen in the banking sector. This is our small effort to support the government&rsquo;s target of increasing per capita income and GDP in the coming decade.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
	Likewise, Rothenbush said, &ldquo;We are supporting the banking and other productive sectors and infrastructure development of the country. We are also looking forward to invest more than USD 120 million in the next couple of years.&rdquo;</p>
<p>
	The bank at present has around 12 percent investment in agriculture and seven percent investment in energy sectors. Prior to this, it had brought investment of USD 15 million from IFC and 10 million from UN-based Symbiotic. &nbsp;</p>
