	Sporadic studies show its high prevalence also among women aged as low as 15. The 2006 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey has found that up to 7 per cent of women of reproductive age group (15-49 years) were suffering from uterine prolapse while approximately 3 per cent of adolescents and youth suffered from it. In a study carried out by Institute of Medicine (IoM) of Tribhuvan University and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), it was found that 600,000 women suffer from varying degrees of uterine prolapse and 200,000 women among them require immediate surgery. &nbsp;</p>',

	Nepal has signed the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) with India. The treaty signed on November 27 in Kathmandu by Nepali Finance Minster Barshaman Pun and his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee is the replacement of an earlier agreement signed in 1987.</p>

	The agreement is expected to bring about economic improvements and investment opportunities in both the countries. The agreement comes into effect from the new fiscal year of both countries.  &nbsp;</p>',

Though CG has expanded its ventures in almost a dozen countries, this is the first time the group is setting up cement factories abroad. </p>

	CG will be establishing industry in Sri Lanka in jointventure with the local private sector partners while talks are ongoing to decide whether to take local or foreign partner, informed Rebant Dhakal, Deputy General Manager of CG’s Corporate Affairs Department. The plan is to set up the plants in Jaffna of Sri Lanka and Guwahati of India. </p>
<p>
	According to a source at CG, the procedure of establishing these factories began two years ago and it was delayed because of the time consumed in garnering support from the local communities and associations. According to Dhakal, preliminary studies for establishing the factories in both the countries have been completed. However, the size of the factories and investment are yet to be finalised.</p>
<p>
	The proposed sites have limestone deposits enough for producing cement for 80 years. Investment in these factories will be made through CG’s associate companies outside Nepal as Nepal law prohibits Nepali companies to directly invest in other countries. CG is also planning to set up cement factories in Nawalparasi and Palpa districts within Nepal. &nbsp;</p>',

Among the big projects so blocked are Hetauda-Bharatpur (220 KV), Singati-Lamusanghu (132 KV) and Kusum Hapure (132 KV), according to the high officials of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary at Ministry of Forest accepted that there was some delay in case of Hetauda- Bharatpur project and claimed that all the projects are cleared within time. Accoridng to him, it takes between 15 days and one month to grant the clearance from the ministry. However, high officials at NEA say all the projects are suffering the same fate. They also claimed that none of the project is cleared in the time period of 15 days to one month.</p>
<p>
	According to the source, the application for the clearance for Hetauda-Bharatpur line was filed six months ago but not approved till mid-November. Similarly, the file for Kusum-Hapure has been pending at the ministry for four months while the Singati-Lamusangu line has been waiting for the permission for last five months. Though Bhattarai claims that the Singati-Lamosangu project is already cleared by the Ministry, Ramji Bhandari, the Project Manager of the transmission line said a condition put forward by the ministry has rendered it as a rejection of the permission.</p>
<p>
	According to him, the Ministry has required the project to buy a land plant trees there to compensate for the trees to be fell down in the project area. “This is impractical. Never had the Ministry put such a condition in the past,” he said. The Ministry’s condition requires that 25 new trees be planted for every tree felled in the project area. That requires hundreds of acres of land to purchase, he said. &nbsp;</p>',

The 2006 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey has found that up to 7 per cent of women of reproductive age group (15-49 years) were suffering from uterine prolapse while approximately 3 per cent of adolescents and youth suffered from it. In a study carried out by Institute of Medicine (IoM) of Tribhuvan University and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), it was found that 600,000 women suffer from varying degrees of uterine prolapse and 200,000 women among them require immediate surgery. &nbsp;</p>',

Though CG has expanded its ventures in almost a dozen countries, this is the first time the group is setting up cement factories abroad. </p>

	CG will be establishing industry in Sri Lanka in jointventure with the local private sector partners while talks are ongoing to decide whether to take local or foreign partner, informed Rebant Dhakal, Deputy General Manager of CG’s Corporate Affairs Department. The plan is to set up the plants in Jaffna of Sri Lanka and Guwahati of India. </p>
<p>
	According to a source at CG, the procedure of establishing these factories began two years ago and it was delayed because of the time consumed in garnering support from the local communities and associations. According to Dhakal, preliminary studies for establishing the factories in both the countries have been completed. However, the size of the factories and investment are yet to be finalised.</p>
<p>
	The proposed sites have limestone deposits enough for producing cement for 80 years. Investment in these factories will be made through CG’s associate companies outside Nepal as Nepal law prohibits Nepali companies to directly invest in other countries. CG is also planning to set up cement factories in Nawalparasi and Palpa districts within Nepal. &nbsp;</p>',

Among the big projects so blocked are Hetauda-Bharatpur (220 KV), Singati-Lamusanghu (132 KV) and Kusum Hapure (132 KV), according to the high officials of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary at Ministry of Forest accepted that there was some delay in case of Hetauda- Bharatpur project and claimed that all the projects are cleared within time. Accoridng to him, it takes between 15 days and one month to grant the clearance from the ministry. However, high officials at NEA say all the projects are suffering the same fate. They also claimed that none of the project is cleared in the time period of 15 days to one month.</p>

	According to the source, the application for the clearance for Hetauda-Bharatpur line was filed six months ago but not approved till mid-November. Similarly, the file for Kusum-Hapure has been pending at the ministry for four months while the Singati-Lamusangu line has been waiting for the permission for last five months. 	CG will be establishing industry in Sri Lanka in jointventure with the local private sector partners while talks are ongoing to decide whether to take local or foreign partner, informed Rebant Dhakal, Deputy General Manager of CG’s Corporate Affairs Department. The plan is to set up the plants in Jaffna of Sri Lanka and Guwahati of India. </p>
<p>
	According to a source at CG, the procedure of establishing these factories began two years ago and it was delayed because of the time consumed in garnering support from the local communities and associations. According to Dhakal, preliminary studies for establishing the factories in both the countries have been completed. However, the size of the factories and investment are yet to be finalised.</p>
<p>
	The proposed sites have limestone deposits enough for producing cement for 80 years. Investment in these factories will be made through CG’s associate companies outside Nepal as Nepal law prohibits Nepali companies to directly invest in other countries. CG is also planning to set up cement factories in Nawalparasi and Palpa districts within Nepal. &nbsp;</p>',

Among the big projects so blocked are Hetauda-Bharatpur (220 KV), Singati-Lamusanghu (132 KV) and Kusum Hapure (132 KV), according to the high officials of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary at Ministry of Forest accepted that there was some delay in case of Hetauda- Bharatpur project and claimed that all the projects are cleared within time. Accoridng to him, it takes between 15 days and one month to grant the clearance from the ministry. However, high officials at NEA say all the projects are suffering the same fate. They also claimed that none of the project is cleared in the time period of 15 days to one month.</p>

	According to the source, the application for the clearance for Hetauda-Bharatpur line was filed six months ago but not approved till mid-November. Similarly, the file for Kusum-Hapure has been pending at the ministry for four months while the Singati-Lamusangu line has been waiting for the permission for last five months. Though Bhattarai claims that the Singati-Lamosangu project is already cleared by the Ministry, Ramji Bhandari, the Project Manager of the transmission line said a condition put forward by the ministry has rendered it as a rejection of the permission.</p>

	According to him, the Ministry has required the project to buy a land plant trees there to compensate for the trees to be fell down in the project area. “This is impractical. Never had the Ministry put such a condition in the past,” he said. The Ministry’s condition requires that 25 new trees be planted for every tree felled in the project area. That requires hundreds of acres of land to purchase, he said. &nbsp;</p>',

The plan is to set up the plants in Jaffna of Sri Lanka and Guwahati of India. </p>

	According to a source at CG, the procedure of establishing these factories began two years ago and it was delayed because of the time consumed in garnering support from the local communities and associations. According to Dhakal, preliminary studies for establishing the factories in both the countries have been completed. However, the size of the factories and investment are yet to be finalised.</p>

	The proposed sites have limestone deposits enough for producing cement for 80 years. Investment in these factories will be made through CG’s associate companies outside Nepal as Nepal law prohibits Nepali companies to directly invest in other countries. 	The track-opening has completed in the 1776-KM mid-hill highway that connects Chiyabhanjyang of Pachthar in east and Jhulaghat of Baitadi in far west. Following the completion of the opening of the track, studies have begun for black topping the newly opened tracks of the highway. Among the big projects so blocked are Hetauda-Bharatpur (220 KV), Singati-Lamusanghu (132 KV) and Kusum Hapure (132 KV), according to the high officials of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). Keshav Prasad Bhattarai, Secretary at Ministry of Forest accepted that there was some delay in case of Hetauda- Bharatpur project and claimed that all the projects are cleared within time. Accoridng to him, it takes between 15 days and one month to grant the clearance from the ministry. However, high officials at NEA say all the projects are suffering the same fate. They also claimed that none of the project is cleared in the time period of 15 days to one month.</p>

	According to the source, the application for the clearance for Hetauda-Bharatpur line was filed six months ago but not approved till mid-November. Similarly, the file for Kusum-Hapure has been pending at the ministry for four months while the Singati-Lamusangu line has been waiting for the permission for last five months. Though Bhattarai claims that the Singati-Lamosangu project is already cleared by the Ministry, Ramji Bhandari, the Project Manager of the transmission line said a condition put forward by the ministry has rendered it as a rejection of the permission.</p>

	According to him, the Ministry has required the project to buy a land plant trees there to compensate for the trees to be fell down in the project area. “This is impractical. Never had the Ministry put such a condition in the past,” he said. The Ministry’s condition requires that 25 new trees be planted for every tree felled in the project area. That requires hundreds of acres of land to purchase, he said. &nbsp;</p>',
