Nepal has scored an overall score of 6.54 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom), Nepal ranked 108th out of 159 jurisdictions in this year&rsquo;s index. With this, Nepal has dropped two places down in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 106th out of 157jurisdictions with a score of 6.56.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
Nepal&rsquo;s score on size of government has dropped to 7.89 from 8.72 in the last year&rsquo;s report. Meanwhile, it has climbed on legal system and property rights to 4.79 from 4.33. Similarly, it has climbed on access to sound money to 6.43 to 6.42. Likewise, on the key component, freedom to trade internationally, Nepal has climbed to 6.72 from 6.47. it has climbed on regulation of credit, labour and business to 6.87 from 6.85. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
According to research in top peer-reviewed academic journals, people living in countries with high levels of economic freedom enjoy greater prosperity, more political and civil liberties, and longer lives. &nbsp;For example, countries in the top quartile of economic freedom had an average per-capita GDP of US$41,228 in 2014, compared to US$5,471 for bottom quartile nations. Moreover, the average income in 2014 of the poorest 10 per cent in the most economically free countries (US$11,283) dwarfed the overall average income in the least free countries (US$5,471). And life expectancy is 80.4 years in the top quartile countries compared to 64 years in the bottom quartile.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
&ldquo;Economic freedom leads to prosperity and a higher quality of life, while the lowest-ranked countries are usually burdened by oppressive regimes that limit the freedom and opportunity of their citizens,&rdquo; said Fred McMahon, Dr Michael A. Walker Research Chair in Economic Freedom with the Fraser Institute.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Globally, Hong Kong (9.03) again tops the index, continuing its streak of number one rankings, followed by Singapore (8.71), New Zealand (8.35), Switzerland (8.25), Canada (7.98), Georgia (7.98), Ireland (7.98), Mauritius (7.98), and United Arab Emirates (7.98). Australia and the United Kingdom tied for 10th with a score of 7.93. &nbsp;Similarly, other notable rankings include Germany (7.55), Japan (7.42), France (7.30), Russia (6.66), India (6.50), China (6.45) and Brazil (6.27).</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Iran, Algeria, Chad, Guinea, Angola, Central African Republic, Argentina, Republic of Congo, Libya and lastly Venezuela are the 10 lowest-ranked countries.<br />
Some despotic countries such as North Korea and Cuba can&rsquo;t be ranked due to lack of data.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
The Fraser Institute produces the annual Economic Freedom of the World report in cooperation with the Economic Freedom Network, a group of independent research and educational institutes in nearly 100 nations and territories. Samriddhi Foundation is member of the Economic Freedom Network and is a co-publisher of the report in Nepal. The Foundation is releasing the report in Nepal for the ninth consecutive year.</p>

Currently, there are 12,000 hotel rooms including five star and tourist level hotels. &ldquo;Total of 16,000 rooms will have capacity to hold two million tourists by 2020,&rdquo; informs Binayak Shah, General Secretary of HAN.</p>

In the tourism vision 2020, the government has targeted of welcoming two million visitors by 2020. In this regard, NRB, issuing a circular, has started implementation of the mechanism.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has modified CRR determining technique, time-period to maintain the reserve and penalty on being unable to maintain the reserve through the circular. Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) is a specified minimum fraction of the total deposits of customers, which commercial banks have to hold as reserves either in cash or as deposits with the central bank. According to the current mechanism, commercial banks, development banks and finance companies need to maintain 6 percent, 5 percent and 4 percent CRR respectively with NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the new mechanism, BFIs need to maintain weekly determined CRR for two weeks. Earlier, the CRR maintaining period was one week. Moreover, NRB will monitor the maintained reserve on daily basis. The new mechanism has made mandatory provision of depositing 70 percent of such daily maintainable reserve to NRB or any &lsquo;A&rsquo; level bank authorised by NRB. &nbsp;The circular mentioned of determining the reserve amount based on the average of domestic deposits of preceding one week of the latter two weeks of maintaining CRR.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the circular, BFIs failing to maintain the CRR will have to pay interest on the short amount as a penalty. &ldquo;The licence holder BFIs will have to pay interest based on the bank-rate determined by NRB on being unable to maintain the CRR,&rdquo; states the circular. Presently, such bank-rate is 7 percent.&nbsp;</p>

Build with the&nbsp;<span style="line-height:20.8px">Joint Commission International (JCI)&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height:1.6">standard, the OT has been named &quot;Lun-Ganga Operation Suits.&quot;&nbsp;For the construction of the suits, service was taken from one of technically popular company in South Asia. &ldquo;The equipments at OT are of highly advanced and the materials used here do not let germs to survive which makes zero possibility of transform of infection,&rdquo; informs the hospital.</span></p>

The suits has European standard three OTs, pre and post operative ward, surgical intensive care unit (SICU), patient counseling lounge, central prevention department, pharmacy, doctors&#39; lounge, nurse station&nbsp;in one single floor.&nbsp;</p>

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Mahara said, &ldquo;The newly formed government is ready to move forward by improving the prevailed&nbsp;weaknesses in the health sector.&rdquo; Likewise, Basanta Chaudhary, Chairman of the hospital stated that he is working towards to fulfill his father&rsquo;s dream since last&nbsp;25 years of making world class&nbsp;health service with world&#39;s best technology available to general public in their doorsteps.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the hospital has decided to provide health treatment package and 10 percent discount on treatment services for media persons. For the discount, coupon system has been arranged that valids for 30 days. The hospital is providing 10 to 15 percent discount in all kinds of operations till one week of the opening. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

Nepal has scored an overall score of 6.54 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom), Nepal ranked 108th out of 159 jurisdictions in this year&rsquo;s index. With this, Nepal has dropped two places down in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 106th out of 157jurisdictions with a score of 6.56.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
Nepal&rsquo;s score on size of government has dropped to 7.89 from 8.72 in the last year&rsquo;s report. Meanwhile, it has climbed on legal system and property rights to 4.79 from 4.33. Similarly, it has climbed on access to sound money to 6.43 to 6.42. Likewise, on the key component, freedom to trade internationally, Nepal has climbed to 6.72 from 6.47. it has climbed on regulation of credit, labour and business to 6.87 from 6.85. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
According to research in top peer-reviewed academic journals, people living in countries with high levels of economic freedom enjoy greater prosperity, more political and civil liberties, and longer lives. &nbsp;For example, countries in the top quartile of economic freedom had an average per-capita GDP of US$41,228 in 2014, compared to US$5,471 for bottom quartile nations. Moreover, the average income in 2014 of the poorest 10 per cent in the most economically free countries (US$11,283) dwarfed the overall average income in the least free countries (US$5,471). And life expectancy is 80.4 years in the top quartile countries compared to 64 years in the bottom quartile.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
&ldquo;Economic freedom leads to prosperity and a higher quality of life, while the lowest-ranked countries are usually burdened by oppressive regimes that limit the freedom and opportunity of their citizens,&rdquo; said Fred McMahon, Dr Michael A. Walker Research Chair in Economic Freedom with the Fraser Institute.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Globally, Hong Kong (9.03) again tops the index, continuing its streak of number one rankings, followed by Singapore (8.71), New Zealand (8.35), Switzerland (8.25), Canada (7.98), Georgia (7.98), Ireland (7.98), Mauritius (7.98), and United Arab Emirates (7.98). Australia and the United Kingdom tied for 10th with a score of 7.93. &nbsp;Similarly, other notable rankings include Germany (7.55), Japan (7.42), France (7.30), Russia (6.66), India (6.50), China (6.45) and Brazil (6.27).</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Iran, Algeria, Chad, Guinea, Angola, Central African Republic, Argentina, Republic of Congo, Libya and lastly Venezuela are the 10 lowest-ranked countries.<br />
Some despotic countries such as North Korea and Cuba can&rsquo;t be ranked due to lack of data.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
The Fraser Institute produces the annual Economic Freedom of the World report in cooperation with the Economic Freedom Network, a group of independent research and educational institutes in nearly 100 nations and territories. Samriddhi Foundation is member of the Economic Freedom Network and is a co-publisher of the report in Nepal. The Foundation is releasing the report in Nepal for the ninth consecutive year.</p>

Earlier, NRB has announced of modifying the CRR determining technique in the monetary policy of the current FY. In this regard, NRB, issuing a circular, has started implementation of the mechanism.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has modified CRR determining technique, time-period to maintain the reserve and penalty on being unable to maintain the reserve through the circular. Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) is a specified minimum fraction of the total deposits of customers, which commercial banks have to hold as reserves either in cash or as deposits with the central bank. According to the current mechanism, commercial banks, development banks and finance companies need to maintain 6 percent, 5 percent and 4 percent CRR respectively with NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the new mechanism, BFIs need to maintain weekly determined CRR for two weeks. Earlier, the CRR maintaining period was one week. Moreover, NRB will monitor the maintained reserve on daily basis. The new mechanism has made mandatory provision of depositing 70 percent of such daily maintainable reserve to NRB or any &lsquo;A&rsquo; level bank authorised by NRB. &nbsp;The circular mentioned of determining the reserve amount based on the average of domestic deposits of preceding one week of the latter two weeks of maintaining CRR.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the circular, BFIs failing to maintain the CRR will have to pay interest on the short amount as a penalty. &ldquo;The licence holder BFIs will have to pay interest based on the bank-rate determined by NRB on being unable to maintain the CRR,&rdquo; states the circular. Presently, such bank-rate is 7 percent.&nbsp;</p>

Nepal has scored an overall score of 6.54 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom), Nepal ranked 108th out of 159 jurisdictions in this year&rsquo;s index. With this, Nepal has dropped two places down in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 106th out of 157jurisdictions with a score of 6.56.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
Nepal&rsquo;s score on size of government has dropped to 7.89 from 8.72 in the last year&rsquo;s report. Meanwhile, it has climbed on legal system and property rights to 4.79 from 4.33. Similarly, it has climbed on access to sound money to 6.43 to 6.42. Likewise, on the key component, freedom to trade internationally, Nepal has climbed to 6.72 from 6.47. it has climbed on regulation of credit, labour and business to 6.87 from 6.85. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
According to research in top peer-reviewed academic journals, people living in countries with high levels of economic freedom enjoy greater prosperity, more political and civil liberties, and longer lives. &nbsp;For example, countries in the top quartile of economic freedom had an average per-capita GDP of US$41,228 in 2014, compared to US$5,471 for bottom quartile nations. Moreover, the average income in 2014 of the poorest 10 per cent in the most economically free countries (US$11,283) dwarfed the overall average income in the least free countries (US$5,471). And life expectancy is 80.4 years in the top quartile countries compared to 64 years in the bottom quartile.</p>

&ldquo;Economic freedom leads to prosperity and a higher quality of life, while the lowest-ranked countries are usually burdened by oppressive regimes that limit the freedom and opportunity of their citizens,&rdquo; said Fred McMahon, Dr Michael A. Walker Research Chair in Economic Freedom with the Fraser Institute.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Globally, Hong Kong (9.03) again tops the index, continuing its streak of number one rankings, followed by Singapore (8.71), New Zealand (8.35), Switzerland (8.25), Canada (7.98), Georgia (7.98), Ireland (7.98), Mauritius (7.98), and United Arab Emirates (7.98). Australia and the United Kingdom tied for 10th with a score of 7.93. &nbsp;Similarly, other notable rankings include Germany (7.55), Japan (7.42), France (7.30), Russia (6.66), India (6.50), China (6.45) and Brazil (6.27).</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Iran, Algeria, Chad, Guinea, Angola, Central African Republic, Argentina, Republic of Congo, Libya and lastly Venezuela are the 10 lowest-ranked countries.<br />
Some despotic countries such as North Korea and Cuba can&rsquo;t be ranked due to lack of data.</p>

The Fraser Institute produces the annual Economic Freedom of the World report in cooperation with the Economic Freedom Network, a group of independent research and educational institutes in nearly 100 nations and territories. Samriddhi Foundation is member of the Economic Freedom Network and is a co-publisher of the report in Nepal. The Foundation is releasing the report in Nepal for the ninth consecutive year.</p>

Currently, there are 12,000 hotel rooms including five star and tourist level hotels. &ldquo;Total of 16,000 rooms will have capacity to hold two million tourists by 2020,&rdquo; informs Binayak Shah, General Secretary of HAN.</p>

In the tourism vision 2020, the government has targeted of welcoming two million visitors by 2020. Shah viewed that the extensive tourism promotion is necessary to welcome such amount of tourists in the country. &ldquo;It is impossible to meet the target without the help of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Nepal Airlines. <p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has modified CRR determining technique, time-period to maintain the reserve and penalty on being unable to maintain the reserve through the circular. Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) is a specified minimum fraction of the total deposits of customers, which commercial banks have to hold as reserves either in cash or as deposits with the central bank. According to the current mechanism, commercial banks, development banks and finance companies need to maintain 6 percent, 5 percent and 4 percent CRR respectively with NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the new mechanism, BFIs need to maintain weekly determined CRR for two weeks. Earlier, the CRR maintaining period was one week. Moreover, NRB will monitor the maintained reserve on daily basis. The new mechanism has made mandatory provision of depositing 70 percent of such daily maintainable reserve to NRB or any &lsquo;A&rsquo; level bank authorised by NRB. &nbsp;The circular mentioned of determining the reserve amount based on the average of domestic deposits of preceding one week of the latter two weeks of maintaining CRR.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the circular, BFIs failing to maintain the CRR will have to pay interest on the short amount as a penalty. &ldquo;The licence holder BFIs will have to pay interest based on the bank-rate determined by NRB on being unable to maintain the CRR,&rdquo; states the circular. Presently, such bank-rate is 7 percent.&nbsp;</p>

Nepal has scored an overall score of 6.54 (in a scale of 1 to 10 where a higher value indicates a higher level of economic freedom), Nepal ranked 108th out of 159 jurisdictions in this year&rsquo;s index. With this, Nepal has dropped two places down in the global ranking. Last year, Nepal ranked 106th out of 157jurisdictions with a score of 6.56.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
Nepal&rsquo;s score on size of government has dropped to 7.89 from 8.72 in the last year&rsquo;s report. Meanwhile, it has climbed on legal system and property rights to 4.79 from 4.33. Similarly, it has climbed on access to sound money to 6.43 to 6.42. Likewise, on the key component, freedom to trade internationally, Nepal has climbed to 6.72 from 6.47. it has climbed on regulation of credit, labour and business to 6.87 from 6.85. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
According to research in top peer-reviewed academic journals, people living in countries with high levels of economic freedom enjoy greater prosperity, more political and civil liberties, and longer lives. &nbsp;For example, countries in the top quartile of economic freedom had an average per-capita GDP of US$41,228 in 2014, compared to US$5,471 for bottom quartile nations. Moreover, the average income in 2014 of the poorest 10 per cent in the most economically free countries (US$11,283) dwarfed the overall average income in the least free countries (US$5,471). And life expectancy is 80.4 years in the top quartile countries compared to 64 years in the bottom quartile.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
&ldquo;Economic freedom leads to prosperity and a higher quality of life, while the lowest-ranked countries are usually burdened by oppressive regimes that limit the freedom and opportunity of their citizens,&rdquo; said Fred McMahon, Dr Michael A. Walker Research Chair in Economic Freedom with the Fraser Institute.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Globally, Hong Kong (9.03) again tops the index, continuing its streak of number one rankings, followed by Singapore (8.71), New Zealand (8.35), Switzerland (8.25), Canada (7.98), Georgia (7.98), Ireland (7.98), Mauritius (7.98), and United Arab Emirates (7.98). Australia and the United Kingdom tied for 10th with a score of 7.93. &nbsp;Similarly, other notable rankings include Germany (7.55), Japan (7.42), France (7.30), Russia (6.66), India (6.50), China (6.45) and Brazil (6.27).</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Iran, Algeria, Chad, Guinea, Angola, Central African Republic, Argentina, Republic of Congo, Libya and lastly Venezuela are the 10 lowest-ranked countries.<br />
Some despotic countries such as North Korea and Cuba can&rsquo;t be ranked due to lack of data.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify"><br />
The Fraser Institute produces the annual Economic Freedom of the World report in cooperation with the Economic Freedom Network, a group of independent research and educational institutes in nearly 100 nations and territories. Samriddhi Foundation is member of the Economic Freedom Network and is a co-publisher of the report in Nepal. The Foundation is releasing the report in Nepal for the ninth consecutive year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">NRB has modified CRR determining technique, time-period to maintain the reserve and penalty on being unable to maintain the reserve through the circular. Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) is a specified minimum fraction of the total deposits of customers, which commercial banks have to hold as reserves either in cash or as deposits with the central bank. According to the current mechanism, commercial banks, development banks and finance companies need to maintain 6 percent, 5 percent and 4 percent CRR respectively with NRB.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the new mechanism, BFIs need to maintain weekly determined CRR for two weeks. Earlier, the CRR maintaining period was one week. Moreover, NRB will monitor the maintained reserve on daily basis. The new mechanism has made mandatory provision of depositing 70 percent of such daily maintainable reserve to NRB or any &lsquo;A&rsquo; level bank authorised by NRB. &nbsp;The circular mentioned of determining the reserve amount based on the average of domestic deposits of preceding one week of the latter two weeks of maintaining CRR.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the circular, BFIs failing to maintain the CRR will have to pay interest on the short amount as a penalty. &ldquo;The licence holder BFIs will have to pay interest based on the bank-rate determined by NRB on being unable to maintain the CRR,&rdquo; states the circular. Presently, such bank-rate is 7 percent.&nbsp;</p>

Build with the&nbsp;<span style="line-height:20.8px">Joint Commission International (JCI)&nbsp;</span><span style="line-height:1.6">standard, the OT has been named &quot;Lun-Ganga Operation Suits.&quot;&nbsp;For the construction of the suits, service was taken from one of technically popular company in South Asia. &ldquo;The equipments at OT are of highly advanced and the materials used here do not let germs to survive which makes zero possibility of transform of infection,&rdquo; informs the hospital.</span></p>

The suits has European standard three OTs, pre and post operative ward, surgical intensive care unit (SICU), patient counseling lounge, central prevention department, pharmacy, doctors&#39; lounge, nurse station&nbsp;in one single floor.&nbsp;</p>

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister Mahara said, &ldquo;The newly formed government is ready to move forward by improving the prevailed&nbsp;weaknesses in the health sector.&rdquo; Likewise, Basanta Chaudhary, Chairman of the hospital stated that he is working towards to fulfill his father&rsquo;s dream since last&nbsp;25 years of making world class&nbsp;health service with world&#39;s best technology available to general public in their doorsteps.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the hospital has decided to provide health treatment package and 10 percent discount on treatment services for media persons. For the discount, coupon system has been arranged that valids for 30 days. The hospital is providing 10 to 15 percent discount in all kinds of operations till one week of the opening. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>
