Earlier, insurance and hotel group used to take NEPSE index to the highest point at most of the time.

The circumstances have aroused as investors have shifted to banking and finance group after booking profit from insurance and hotel group, opine share analysts. “It indicates that investors are gradually maturing on analysis of market scenario and changing/switching portfolios as required,” says an analyst.

Shareholders’ psychology has an important role in the share market. If there is availability of funds in proper interest rate and investors are in high confidence, then it normally does not matter how much the market hits and misses. “Commercial investors ignore the height and depth of the market given that the investors consider getting proper return on certain risk,” says an investor. The Nepali capital market is experiencing the same, heightening the transaction amount and NEPSE index in daily basis.

Investors claim that NEPSE index will soon reach 2000 points if it continues the same pace. However, some experts point out that condition of economy and pace of the share market contradict each other. The Bull Run that started three months ago has reached the height of 1721 points on Monday based on notable contribution of banks and finance group.

According to them, while the country is in stagnation, growth of the share market is unnatural. Recalling the secondary market eight years ago, they say “Like that time, NEPSE has high potential of declining or crashing any day.”

', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2016-06-28', 'modified' => '2016-06-28', 'keywords' => '', 'description' => '', 'sortorder' => '3691', 'image' => '20160628114708_20160628055039_;sdfk;.JPG', 'article_date' => '2016-06-28 00:00:00', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => true, 'in_scroller' => false, 'user_id' => '16' ) ), (int) 4 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '3857', 'article_category_id' => '1', 'title' => 'Purbanchal University Education Fair from July 1', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => 'June 28: Purbanchal University (PU) is going to organize first Purbanchal Univerity Education fair in Kathmandu. “The fair will be held in World Trade Centre, Tripureshowr from July 1 to July 3,” informed the university in a press statement. However, stakeholders mention that problems will not be raised as NRB has been given authority of open market transaction in the prime bill. In the prime bill, authorities to issue other tools have been added to operate the open market.

Similarly, MP Kunwar has proposed to add one more deputy governor in the NRB. However, she informed that proposal on separate committee to formulate monetary policy and implementation has not been made. A total of 18 proposals have been submitted to amend NRB bill by MPs including Kunwar, Kafle and Prem Suwal.

Adding a mechanism in the point 106 of the prime bill, proposal has been made to restrict former governors to work in any banks and financial institutions (BFIs) after retirement. Similarly, it has been proposed that deputy governors and executive director of NRB should be barred from joining any BFIs till 7 and 5 years respectively after the end of their tenure.
', 'published' => true, 'created' => '2016-06-27', 'modified' => '2016-06-27', 'keywords' => 'NRB, NRB act, Amendment of nrb act, proposed bill of nrb, ', 'description' => '', 'sortorder' => '3685', 'image' => '20160627124128_nrb.jpg', 'article_date' => '2016-06-27 00:00:00', 'homepage' => false, 'breaking_news' => false, 'main_news' => true, 'in_scroller' => false, 'user_id' => '16' ) ), (int) 10 => array( 'Article' => array( 'id' => '3851', 'article_category_id' => '1', 'title' => 'Subisu Station in Sukedhara', 'sub_title' => '', 'summary' => 'June 27: The internet, network and TV service provider company, Subisu Cablenet has launched sales outlet ‘Subisu Station’ in Sukedhara, Kathamandu. The Bull Run that started three months ago has reached the height of 1721 points on Monday based on notable contribution of banks and finance group.

According to them, while the country is in stagnation, growth of the share market is unnatural. Similarly, certain amount from the income should be enrolled in the government fund. “The residual amount from net income of NRB after mandatory deposits and allocations as per the government approval should be enrolled with Nepal government,” says amendment bill. NRB has interpreted the proposed mechanism of the bill as lost of autonomy.

According to a source of NRB, it would be difficult to implement the mechanism instantly as NRB will have to take time-to-time approval from the government while issuing monetary tools to manage liquidity. In the prime bill, authorities to issue other tools have been added to operate the open market.

Similarly, MP Kunwar has proposed to add one more deputy governor in the NRB.
